In 2022, the number of adult victims from fatal road accidents in Delhi, India, amounted to about over 1.3 thousand. Of this number about 1,270 victims were male. Pedestrians had the highest number of casualties caused by road accidents across the capital city. In that year, over 43 percent of the victims killed in road accidents in Delhi, were pedestrians. Lack of sufficient foot over bridges, pedestrian crossings and ignorance of road safety rules could be the possible reasons for such accidents.
