According to a 2024 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, more than half of the respondents in the Philippines stated that they chose to consume plant-based food because they believe that such products are healthier. Other reasons for choosing plant-based food alternatives include concerns regarding animal welfare in food production and wanting to try a food trend.
