According to Rakuten Insight about a survey on non-alcoholic beer consumption, over 51 percent of Indian respondents said they consumed non-alcoholic beer. Eight percent, however, said that they drank this variety of beer exclusively. About 48 percent never consumed it.
New flagship brands from beverage giants Coca-Cola and PepsiCo were set to compete with non-alcoholic beers in the Indian urban markets in 2019. Among many reasons, this was a result of a recent decrease in the consumption of carbonated beverages as well as in alcoholic beverages.
