Governmental support for construction and upgrade of agricultural facilities in Russia decreased over the past years. According to provisional data, in 2019, the subsidy volume for such purposes would be about five billion Russian rubles lower than in 2017.

** The subsidy allows for partial reimbursement of direct expenses incurred on launch/upgrade of agroindustrial facilities at the expense of the federal budget funds. This form of support is available to companies which launched the construction/upgrade of fruit storages, potato storages, vegetable storages, greenhouse facilities, dairy and pig farms, genetic selection and seed production centers, wholesale‑distribution centers no longer than three years prior to the subsidy issuance. Subsidy recipients are reimbursed for 30–35 percent of the costs incurred on the launch/upgrade of agroindustrial facilities depending on the segment and geographical location provided the costs do not exceed the thresholds set by the Russian Agriculture Ministry.
In total, 192 investment projects were selected and financed in 2017.
