As of summer 2018, nine percent of Norwegian internet users completely agreed with the statement that it did not matter what they shared online, since they had nothing to hide. In contrast, 17 percent completely disagreed on that. Two percent of respondents strongly felt that the more personal data they shared on social media, the better offers they received.
