In 2019, there is an assumption that Belgium is governed by the rich and powerful. As a mirroring effect, there is a need for a strong leader to fix this. According to this Ipsos survey, such a feeling was widely shared by the people of Belgium.
In 2019, two-thirds of respondents believed Belgium needs a stronger leader. 21 percent of them neither agreed nor disagreed. One out of five people did not believe in such a statement, yet without rejecting it.
However, 11 percent of respondents did not believe in this. For them, there is no need for a strong leader to save the country from the rich and powerful.
