The total win amount of the retail gambling market in Italy dropped sharply in 2020 over the previous year due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Overall, Lombardy was the Italian region recording the highest figure in 2020. However, the win amount in that region decreased from over 11 million euros in 2019 to around 5.3 million euros in 2020.
