Japan is the country that has most widely adopted fibre-optic broadband in 2019, with adoption rate reaching 45 percent. New Zealand and Sweden follow right behind, with adoption rates of 44 and 30 percent respectively. Fibre-optic broadband allows for transmission over longer distances and at higher speed than cables.
