According to a survey conducted among women in Indonesia in March 2019, around 58 percent of respondents correctly stated that the period-after-opening (PAO) symbol stood for how long a product can safely be used after it was opened for the first time. Indonesia has one of the world's largest and fastest-growing middle-class, many of whom are increasingly consuming more cosmetic products.
