The approval rate of Colombian presidents has been oscillating in recent years. In 2018, just before Iván Duque Márquez succeeded Juan Manuel Santos as president of Colombia, Santos was approved by 35 percent of Colombian respondents, up from a 30 percent approval rate observed in the previous year. In 2020, Ivan Duque enjoyed an approval rate of 41 percent.
