In 2019, Italian parents claimed to be very happy in case their daughters would practice sports like swimming, volleyball or roller skating. According to the survey by YouGov, swimming was the preferred sport for daughters. Indeed, fathers and mothers that preferred swimming accounted for respectively 90 and 91 percent of all respondents. Conversely, boxing was the least favorite sport for daughters among Italian fathers and mothers.
