According to a survey conducted in Singapore in June 2019, 41 percent of respondents who were fathers stated that physical punishment should be allowed in schools. Until today, it is not illegal for parents to physically discipline their children in Singapore. There were 584 cases of physical abuse of children investigated in Singapore in 2018.
