In April 2019, about half of the Polish population belonged to the middle class. However, less than a third of them had higher education. Over half of people belonging to the upper class had received higher education, compared to only about five percent of the lower class.

The analysis results presented in this report have been weighted according to respondents' gender, age, and size of place of residence.
Definition of class in the report:
According to income (economic): based on EHDI (equivalized disposable household income) - lower class 1073 zloty, middle class 2546 zloty, upper class 5774 zloty.
According to occupation (social): based on EGP class scheme, taking into consideration four dimensions: nature of job, level of qualification necessary for job, position in organizational hierarchy, and ownership of means of production.
