As one of the most popular leagues in the United States, television providers compete to secure television rights agreements with Major League Baseball (MLB). In 2014, the league secured a television deal to the value of 1.55 billion U.S. dollars, with the deals beginning in 2022 expecting to rise in value to 1.75 billion U.S. dollars per year.
