As of 2018, the ratio of profits from the automobile sector to India's GDP stood at around 0.28 percent. This was the same as in 2013, and it was anticipated that the sector will remain stable in their GDP contribution in the near future. Overall, India’s corporate profit to GDP ratio dropped from 7.8 percent to three percent between 2008 and 2018.
