As of 2018, the ratio of profits from India's private corporate banks to the country's GDP was around 0.28 percent. This was a slight drop compared to the ratio in 2013, and could be attributed to the economic slowdown in the country.
Overall, India’s corporate profit to GDP ratio dropped from 7.8 percent to three percent between 2008 and 2018.
