At the end of fiscal year 2018, Cummins India had a gross profit margin of about 36 percent. This was estimated to increase to over 37 percent in fiscal year 2021. The company had not increased prices for four years till November 2018. A price hike of three to five percent was made to mitigate the cost pressure of increased raw material prices.
