The volume of greenhouse gas emissions per person increased by 0.4 million tons of CO2 equivalent in Russia between 2016 and 2017, excluding the absorption of gases from the atmosphere by the land sector. When considered the land use, the emissions were calculated at 10.7 million tons of CO2 equivalent per capita.
Volume of greenhouse gas emissions per capita in Russia from 2010 to 2017, including and excluding the land sector
(in million tons of CO2 equivalent)
* Including and excluding the land use, land-use change, and forestry sector..
Data were obtained from the national report on the inventory of anthropogenic emissions by sources and removals by sinks of greenhouse gases not controlled by the Montreal Protocol for 1990-2017 published in Moscow in 2019.
