Distribution of enterpreneurs in the Netherlands in 2019, by gender and sector
In 2019, the number of female entrepreneurs in the construction, water and waste management, and transport and storage industries was significantly lower than the number of male entrepreneurs in these sectors. Just over two percent of entrepreneurs in the construction sector were women in 2019. Meanwhile, female entrepreneurs made up the majority in education, healthcare and wellbeing, and other services in 2019.
