35 percent of the women respondents across the country walked to the nearest bus stops in 2018. Out of these respondents, 18 percent of them walked as they had no other options and other 17 percent walked by choice. Only a mere eight percent of the women respondents reached the bus stop by car in that year.

Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhuvaneshwar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Jammu, Mumbai, Kochi, Mysuru and New Delhi were the cities under consideration.
