46 percent of the employed women respondents who used public transportation across India felt that it was affordable in 2018. Whereas, only 35 percent of the unemployed women found the ticket prices for buses and trains to be affordable.

Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhuvaneshwar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Jammu, Mumbai, Kochi, Mysuru and New Delhi were the cities under consideration.
