As of 2019, getting an incurable illness and uncontrolled migration were among the greatest fears of people living in Dutch-speaking Belgium. Close to 75 percent of people surveyed indicated that they feared becoming incurably ill, and approximately 70 percent of respondents were worried about uncontrolled migration. Meanwhile the share of respondents who were concerned about climate change was 66 percent.
