Box office revenue in Costa Rica 2015-2022
In 2022, the box office revenue in Costa Rica surpassed 23.3 million U.S. dollars, up from 16 million dollars a year earlier – an annual growth of over 45 percent. Despite the increase, the 2022 figure amounted to less than around 55 percent of the 41.7-million-dollar gross recorded in 2019, before the pandemic. Costa Rica had the highest box office revenue in Central America in 2022.
