The domestic demand of baby formula products in China was gradually climbing to 1.1 million metric tons in 2017. The increasing trend is probably related to the implementation of the two-child policy in 2016 in China. The country's fertility rate plummeted since the introduction of the one-child policy in 1980, resulting in a low birthrate in the recent decade.
