Are Belgians expected to use mobile payments? According to survey results from 2018, the mobile payment penetration for 16 categories of products and services is believed to be between 37 and 53 percent in 2023. The most frequent category is believed to be transferring money to other individuals or P2P payments, whereas paying for paying for taxi journeys via a smartphone is thought to happen less frequently.
