Chile: undernourishment prevalence 2004-2018
The share of population in Chile whose habitual food intake is insufficient to maintain an active and healthy life was estimated at 2.7 percent between 2016 and 2018. Chile is one of the few Latin American and Caribbean countries whose percentage falls under five percent regarding undernourishment. In addition, the country has improved compared to the period between 2004 and 2006, when the prevalence of undernourishment stood at 3.9 percent.
