As of July 2019, over 77 thousand foreign travelers visited the Russian Far East under the electronic visa program since its launch in August 2017. The majority of visitors came from China, with 60 thousand people entering the Far Eastern part of the country with an e-visa. Almost 17 thousand Japanese tourists used e-visas for visiting the region.
