Many Chinese consumers are only willing to pay the same price as conventional cars for an electric car. According to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, only about 18.9 percent of the Chinese respondents would pay up to ten percent more for an electric car and 22.4 percent of the respondents would pay a price that was eleven to 30 percent higher than conventional cars.
