The main factors deterring South Koreans from purchasing an electric car were high prices and waiting for improvements in the development of the technology. According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, around 49.2 percent of respondents stated that they are not considering purchasing an electric car because electric cars are still too expensive to purchase.
