According to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight on January 2024, 65 percent of the Thai respondents stated that having charging stations nearby would incentivize them to buy an electric car as well. Moreover, improved regulations such as tax rebates and subsidies would motivate Thai consumers to purchase an electric car.
Main incentives that would motivate consumers to buy an electric car in Thailand in 2024
The survey was conducted between January 19 to 31, 2024 among a total of 15,528 Thai respondents aged 16 years and older. Other surveyed countries include China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam.
