According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2019, over 67 percent of Japanese respondents stated that they would choose an electric car over a conventional car due to its environmental friendly technology. In contrast, only around 11.5 percent of respondents in Japan named automobile trends as an incentive to purchase electric vehicles.
