Among several car brands, Vinfast was the most known electric car brand among Vietnamese consumers, as confirmed by 87 percent of the respondents according to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in January 2024. This was followed by Tesla, with about 59 percent of the surveyed participants stating that they were aware of this car brand. Established in 2017, Vinfast is Vietnam’s first automobile brand and electric vehicle manufacturer.
