In 2019, most of the Italian imports of flat and technical glass came from Europe and Asia. Data provided by Prometeia show that the share of flat glass imports coming from Western Europe slightly decreased from 53.7 percent in 2014 to 52.8 percent in 2019. Similarly, the share of glass imported from Asia went down from 22.4 percent to 20.8 percent between the two years.
