The most known news media brands as per a survey were India's legacy brands, including The Times of India, DD News, Hindustan Times and NDTV with a rating of over seven points. New media brands like Firstpost, The Wire and Republic TV were less known and therefore assumed to be less trusted by the respondents with a rating of around six points. This is an indicator that brands that are known and familiar to the audiences are trusted more.
