In 2018, Western Europe was the main source for starch and grain mill products imported into Italy. As a matter of fact, according to the data provided by Prometeia, the share of imported value from Western Europe slightly decreased from 80.7 percent in 2013 to 73.7 percent in 2018. An opposite trend can be observed for new European and Asian countries, whose share of export value to Italy increased over the same period as far as starch and grain mill products are concerned.
