Between 2013 and 2018, the share of plastic products exported from Italy to Western Europe decreased from 62.5 percent to 60.6 percent. According to the data provided by Prometeia, the second area of destination for Italian exports of plastic products was the one consisting of new EU member states and its share increased from 13.6 percent to 14.8 percent over the period years considered.
