German tourism grew across a number of Southern European and North African countries between 2013 and 2018. According to data from FVW Medien GmbH, arrivals from Germany to Egypt increased by 94.8 percent over the five year period. However, in Tunisia and Turkey figures fell: overnight stays in Tunisia dropped by 58.6 percent and arrivals in Turkey by 10.5 percent.
