Public opinion on paying student athletes in the U.S. 2023, by age
Currently in the United States, college athletes are not paid for their performance. During a survey in the United States in 2023, around 42 percent of respondents aged 18 to 34 stated that they believed student athletes should be paid for their sport. Meanwhile, 56 percent of respondents aged 45 to 64 did not believe student athletes should be paid.
