This statistic displays the results of a survey about the employability rate in non-technical engineering job roles across India in 2018, by city tiers. The survey revealed that employability in tier 1 cities is the highest for all four job roles. In particular, the role of associate in ITeS/BPO had over 41 percent employability in tier 1 cities and around 36 percent employability in tier 3 cities.

The survey was based on data related to engineering colleges and tier cities from across India. The top 100 campuses were omitted from the dataset since these colleges attract students from all over the country, and are not limited to students from nearby regions.
Cities with a population over 2.5 million were considered tier 1 cities. Cities with population between 0.5 to 2.5 million were tier 2 cities and cities with a population up to 0.5 million were tier 3 cities.
