This statistic shows the results of a survey about most popular new-tech toys for children in China as of the end of 2018. During the survey period, around 31 percent of the surveyed Chinese parents said that they have purchased an AI smart toy for their children.
Awareness of children's new-tech toys in China as of December 2018, by technology
Profile of the survey respondent: a parent aged 20 to 50 years, the main toy buyer or toy purchase decision maker in the family; from a household with a minimum of 15,000 yuan monthly income; spent over 500 yuan to buy toys for children in the past six months. In families with more than one child, the youngest child was taken as a subject.
Among 2,000 respondents, 1,000 parents with sons and 1,000 parents with daughters were surveyed.
