The average cost of goods sold (COGS) as share of turnover in selected countries in Europe from 2005 to 2017 and a forecast thereof for 2018 and 2019 is shown in this statistic. The German cost of goods sold saw a significant increase in recent years as it grew from 68.2 percent in 2016 to 71.4 percent in 2019. The German cost of goods sold is by far the highest in the sample which indicates that often only the last stage of production is done in Germany.
