In 2018, the source asked a panel of 8,000 drivers in 13 countries: China, France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, UK, U.S., Belgium, Russia, Turkey. The question posed: "For short-distance journeys in urban areas, if you used a fully autonomous vehicle, what form of transport would it replace?"
