This graph shows the most popular channels of information on insurance products in China as of January 2019. According to a survey, around 79 percent of respondents in China got such information from official channels of insurance companies such as company websites, WeChat pages, hotline etc., whereas around 23 percent of respondents searched for the information on third-party insurance apps.
Main channels to get informed about insurance products in China as of January 2019
Respondents in this survey were people who had bought a long-term insurance in the last two years or people who had only bought a short-term insurance but were planning to buy a long-term insurance in the next two years.
The qualitative part of the survey (focus groups and face-to-face interviews) was conducted in December of 2018 with 112 participants. The quantitative part (online survey) was conducted in January of 2019 with 1,030 respondents.
