As of 2017, 65% of the American female respondents at the age of 18 and older own sex toys, leaving almost one third of them not in possession of dildo, vibrator and co.

As of 2015, vibrators are the most commonly sold sex toys in the world. Around 21% of all sex toys sold in 2015 were vibrators followed by rubber penises and cock rings. The sale of rubber vaginas made up roughly 9% of the global sex toy market while blindfolds and feathers accounted for close to 6%.
As for the American female respondents of 18 and older who have tried those before, there are in fact several reasons for using sex toys: from refreshing their sex lives to surprising their partners. Most respondents, however, stated that they use these products just for the sake of fun.
