Clothing is the top online luxury product category for French consumers, chosen by 20 percent of them, as per a survey conducted in September 2023. Luxury shoes came in second place, with nearly 16 percent of French consumers opting to purchase them online. Cosmetics were among the most sought-after premium products, with 10 percent of shoppers. Half of the surveyed individuals had not made any luxury purchases via the internet in the year leading up to the study.
