According to a survey conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), e-cigarette use among students in U.S. high schools tripled between 2013 and 2014. Vaping has become so popular among American students that e-cigarette consumption has now surpassed conventional smoking.
Back in 2011, just 1.5 percent of U.S. high school students said they had used an e-cigarette over the past 30 days while nearly 16 percent had smoked a cigarette. Fast forward to 2014 and 13.4 percent of students in high school said they had used an e-cigarette compared to just 9.2 who smoked a conventional cigarette.
