When looking to maximize occupancy, over half of UK accommodation providers (54%) stated that offering targeted discounts was the most reliable method, according to the Autumn 2023 UK Accommodation Barometer. This was followed by investments in style/aesthetics (44%). When compared with the average result from respondents across Europe, the status quo nominated listing on digital platforms (51%) as the most effective method, followed by targeted discounts (49%). In the UK, listing the property on digital platforms was the third most effective tool (42%).
