With the shift towards e-mobility and electric vehicles well underway in a number of key global markets, some manufacturers are more on top of the trend than others. As data from EV-Volumes.com shows, General Motors certainly can't be accused of lacking enthusiasm for the move underway in the automotive industry.
The company's total of 516,634 in 2021 put them in rank four, globally, though still a long way behind the number one spot: Tesla with over 900,000. The biggest producer among the traditional manufacturers was Toyota . not so far ahead on around 670,000. In 2021, the General Motors stated its intent to produce more than 30 new electric vehicle models by 2025.
