Surely everybody eats snack food. Well, according to Statista's Global Consumer Survey, 38% of UK adults don't, but we're going to ignore them for now. As this infographic shows, crisps are the most popular snack in the country, with 66 percent of snackers saying they eat the potato-based delights regularly - far ahead of their healthier vegetable cousins at just 21 percent.
Aside from dried fruits and ice cream, almost every other type of snack gets its fair share of time on the table, with chocolate bars and cookies/biscuits among the list of the UK's favourite snacks. In terms of frequency, 57 percent of people who eat snacks say they do so several times a week, while 17 percent indulge every day. Unsurprisingly, after 8pm is the most popular time for snacks, though 5 percent say they eat them between 6 and 9am.
