It was an eagerly awaited publication, but when the U.S. government's 'UFO report' finally landed late last week it was something of an anti-climax for those looking for answers to a recent baffling series of 'unidentified aerial phenomena'. Nevertheless, it did officially document 143 cases which could not be explained.
Over in the UK, a YouGov survey has revealed that half of British adults believe in the existence of aliens, with 22 percent saying they think they have already visited Earth. Going one step further, 7 percent said they believe they themselves have seen a UFO, combining to 25 percent when accounting for people they personally know that say they have seen one. Despite there being no official confirmation of such sightings, almost half of the respondents said they think it is somewhat or very likely that the government has knowledge about UFOs that it is not sharing with the public.
